University of St Francis

The LandPlan Group has provided design and engineering services for three major projects at the University of Saint Francis. In 2001, the firm developed landscape architectural plans for the Rolland Center, an Arts and Communications facility located at the southeast end of campus. In 2002, landscape architectural plans were developed for the Doermer Family Center, a facility for health science education. The most recent services were provided in 2005-06 for the Pope John Paul II Center, which houses the new Lee & Jim Vann Library along with the University's new Student Center.

Located on the east side of Mirror Lake, the Pope John Paul II Center project required planning, landscape architectural design and engineering services. A key focal feature of the Pope John Paul II Center's landscape design is the "Clock Tower Plaza" located at the main entrance to the facility. Stations of the Cross were also incorporated into the building's western façade and pedestrian access provided via a walkway along the edge of Mirror Lake. Services included the development of a parking lot between the Center and Spring Street, and the enlargement of Mirror Lake for stormwater detention.

Warsaw Streetscape

In 2003, LandPlan Group developed a master plan for the community of Warsaw for revitalization of 12 city blocks within the downtown business district.  The plans called for improvements of the City's sidewalks, street lighting, the addition of street trees, plantings in raised planters, new concrete, brick pavers and sidewalk furniture. To date, the City has completed three phases of the work totaling over 6 City blocks.  The projects have brought about a renewed sense of community and have helped the City improve the occupancy of downtown store fronts.
